Showcasing the role of Science in Enabling Independent Living and Smarter Safer Secure Living

As part of National Science Week Community Resourcing is holding an interactive forum, on Tuesday 18 August, at The Sunshine Coast.

The forum will incorporate demonstrations and discussions highlighting the role that Science plays in assisting people live independently and enable.

The day will be delivered by presenters from scientific backgrounds with a passion in promoting the role of science in bettering independent living across Australia.

This Interactive Discussion Forum will bring together some internationally recognised presenters and local projects aimed at highlighting leading edge science and technology projects which can assist all Australians to live more safely, securely, independently and empowered in their own homes and in their communities.

Showcased, will be sciences and technologies that can improve the quality of life for older people, people with a disability and the general community in models of Safer Smarter Homes, Consumer directed and empowered health and Community Care.

Scientific developments in robotics, mobility solutions, telecare and telehealth, as well as co-production projects with consumers will be highlighted.

Duration: 9.00am - 12.30pm (registration will open at 8:30am)
